3. Start and stop the server

Set up the Eudora mail client

From Tools -> Options fill in the following:

In the dialog above the email detail for Mr. Joe Santano have been set up.

Return address: Joe' email address

Mail Server (Incoming): Be careful. This is the IP address or server name of the computer running FreeProxy. This is NOT the ISP name. The actual mail server name is entered into FreeProxy.

Login Name: the POP account name given to you by your ISP. Its likely to be the name before the '@' in the email address.

SMTP Server: Like the Incoming server, this server is the name or IP address of the computer running FreeProxy.

Allow Authentication: This will ask you for you password when connecting to the POP server.

Set Up FreeProxy

In FreeProxy set up 2 ports. One for incoming mail and one for outgoing mail.

Here is where you put your ISPs email server name. Replace mail.myisp.com with the incoming mail server name provided to you by your ISP.

Here is where you put your ISPs outgoing mail server name. Replace mail.myisp.com with the outgoing mail server name provided to you by your ISP.

Stop and Start FreeProxy

Stop and start FreeProxy for the changes to become effective.
