I2019: Run-time error '48', File not found FreeProxyDLLnn.dll
Summary
Product: FreeProxy
Versions: FreeProxyClient V3.0 onwards
Note: 2019
Date reported: 1 October 2003
Issue Detail
The FreeProxy Control Centre starts and then stops immediately with run time error 48.

Solution
The file FreeProxyDLL35.dll does exist however it references another DLL which is missing from your system.

FreeProxyDLL35.dll calls a number of other DLLs and reports an error when one of the dependent modules is missing. To check this you need to do 2 things:

1. Determine the missing module
2. Extract the missing module from your installation disk.

Determine the missing module
Download the depends.zip file from http://www.alphalink.com.au/~gregr/depends.zip

Unzip the contents and run the program.

File -> Open and open the file FreeProxyDLL35.dll

It can be found in:

(Winnt/XP/2000/2003) C:WINNTSYSTEM32 or C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32

(Windows 98/Me) C:WINDOWSSYSTEM

This program will highlight the missing DLL in an obvious way.

Extract the missing module
The missing module (DLL) can be extracted from the installation disk:

For Windows 98, use SFC (system file checker). From a command prompt (Windows -> Start -> Run and fill in the word command and press enter)

When the command prompt appears, type in sfc and press enter. Fill in the following. The example shows how iphlpapi.dll is being extracted from the Windows 98 installation disk on drive E:
