If you want to start using FreeProxy without reading the rest of the manual, follow these steps:
Check: You must be running FreeProxy on one of: Windows 98, Windows NT with SP4, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP Pro, Windows XP Home, or Windows 2003 server
Select Start FreeProxy as a service
This action will install FreeProxy as a service ready for use by other computers on your network.
Whenever you change the FreeProxy configuration, you MUST stop and start FreeProxy.
If you need a help file in a language other than English (default), check the web site for other language help files here.
Each client computer should be set up to point to port 8080 on the server running FreeProxy. For example, if the name of the computer connected to the internet is MYSERVER and you have set up FreeProxy as described above, then you would set up Internet Explorer as follows (Tools è Internet Options è Connections è LAN Settings …). Press OK to save the settings.
